What's the biggest dinosaur that ever lived? And could it beat a T-Rex in a fight?

Great question! The biggest dinosaur we know of is called Argentinosaurus. It was absolutely enormous — about 115 feet long and weighed as much as 10 elephants!

Now, could it beat a T-Rex? That's a fun one to think about. Here's the thing — they actually lived millions of years apart, so they never would have met. But if we imagine them together:

Argentinosaurus was a plant-eater, so it wouldn't have wanted to fight. But it was SO big that a T-Rex probably wouldn't have tried to attack it — that would be like you trying to wrestle a school bus!

T-Rex was the better fighter with its powerful jaws, but Argentinosaurus could have swung its massive tail for defense. Most scientists think the T-Rex would have looked for an easier meal.

What dinosaurs lived near me? I live in Colorado!

Colorado is one of the BEST places for dinosaurs! You live in a dinosaur goldmine. Here are some that roamed right where you are:

Stegosaurus — Colorado's state fossil! It had those awesome plates on its back and a spiked tail. Tons of Stegosaurus bones have been found in Colorado.

Allosaurus — A big meat-eater that lived in Colorado about 150 million years ago. It was like the T-Rex of its time!

Diplodocus — A super long-necked plant-eater. Some of the best Diplodocus fossils ever found came from Colorado.

There's actually a real place called Dinosaur Ridge near Denver where you can see actual dinosaur footprints in the rock. Have you ever been there? It might be a cool field trip idea!
